Renier Diaz de la Portilla, Esq.

Renier Diaz de la Portilla is an experienced lawyer, mediator, arbitrator, and former state lawmaker. Fully bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish, Renier brings a client-centered approach to the practice of law based on a lifetime of community involvement. Renier’s law degree was earned at Nova Southeastern University, where he was admitted on a full academic scholarship.

Renier’s master’s degree is from an Ivy League school, and his bachelor’s in journalism is from our hometown Florida International University. Renier specializes in criminal defense law at Gallardo Law Firm. He has handled hundreds of criminal matters and has taken many trials to verdict in his nearly 11 years of practice. Renier has also represented cities and public entities and is well-versed in government law and procedures. In his spare time, Renier enjoys watching American football and eating Buffalo chicken wings with his family and little boy named David.
