Hi. My name is Elvis Adam. We are here today to talk about toxic fume cases or exposure cases as we call them. These are when somebody's exposed to either chemicals or odors or fumes, which cause problems in the lungs, with the person's breathing sometimes cause problems with the heart. So these cases are, one where it's very important once again that you report these because these things aren't things that are seen. It's not an accident that happens from one moment to the other where there's witnesses. Most of these fumes are invisible. So it's very important if you start feeling bad, it's because you're inhaling chemicals or fumes or odors that are toxic that you report it as soon as possible to your employer and ask for a treatment for those fumes. If they don't give you treatment, that's when we would step in and we would file petition for benefits on your behalf asking for whatever specialist it is that we think you need, whether it be a pulmonologist or a cardiologist, etcetera.Or and also if you're missing time from work because of the exposure, then we would file for indemnity, which are the checks when you're off of work, because of whatever work injury you have. Remember, if your employer insurance company is not giving you the benefits that you think you're entitled to, call us at Gallardo Law Office, 305-261-7000.
