Hi. My name is Elvis John Adams. I am the workers' compensation attorney here at Gallardo. We're here to talk about muscle strains today. Muscle strains are very common, probably one of the most common types of injuries with workers' compensation cases. They can happen different degrees and in different ways. For example, a back, you could have a sprain, which is a lighter injury, all the way to a bulging disc and all the way to a herniated disc, which is, the worst kind of of muscle spraying for the back. These happen, like I said, from one moment to the other, with a work accident, or they can happen over time with repetitive trauma, repetitive heavy lifting. In these particular cases, you would report them, obviously, like any other workers comp case to your employer. And then if they, do not send you for treatment, we would file a petition for benefits on your behalf asking for whatever treatment it is that we think you need, whether it be an orthopedic or a neurologist, depending again on the degree of of the seriousness of the strain, and as well as for indemnity. If you're not working because of the accident, then we would ask for checks for, for those weeks that you can't work because of the injury. Remember, if your employer insurance company is not giving you the benefits that you think you're entitled to, call us at Gallardo Law Office. 305-261-7000.
