Hi, My name is Elvis Adan. I am the employment and workers compensation attorney here at Gallardo Law Office, and today we're here to talk about repetitive trauma injuries. Repetitive trauma injuries are injuries that happen over time, usually because of heavy lifting. Lot of heavy lifting over a a spread amount of time causes injuries. They're different than when you have an accident from one moment to the other. These take time. These are also very important that you report these to your employer because when you have an accident from one moment to the other, then there's probably witnesses, people see the accident, people witness the accident. But when you have a repetitive trauma, you're not nobody's there's no accident, so nobody's really seeing an accident. So, you have to make sure to report the injury, the repetitive trauma injury to the employer, so that way they can, report it to their carrier and give you treatment. If, if you don't get the treatment that they're asking for or reporting, then that's when, you know, we would file a petition for benefits asking for whatever the treatment is we think you need, whether it be for a back or whether it be for an arm or a neck. That's what we would do in these cases. Remember, if your employer insurance company is not giving you the benefits that you think you're entitled to, call us at Gallardo Law Office, 305-261-7000.
