Sara L. Cortes Esq.

Sara L. Cortes is an attorney at Gallardo Law Firm's Employment Department. She brings a high level of precision to every aspect of her practice, with a particular focus on drafting and reviewing employment documents, contracts, settlement agreements, motions, and demand letters.

This talented professional is capable of handling a wide range of employment law matters, primarily representing employees in FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and Whistleblower Retaliation claims. Her work includes evaluating potential claims; drafting demand letters, pleadings, and motions; conducting legal research; attending hearings, depositions, and mediations; and handling negotiation and pre-litigation strategy.

Ms. Cortes graduated Cum Laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, a Minor in English, and a Pre-Law Certificate. She then earned a Juris Doctor title and a Real Estate Law Certificate from St. Thomas University School of Law.

During this time, she completed over 100 hours of community service, primarily serving as a Law Clerk for the City of Hialeah's City Attorney's Office. In her final year, Ms. Cortes clerked in the Real Estate Law Department of the City of Miami City Attorney's Office. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, fishing, going to the beach, traveling, and volunteering at her local church.
