Before focusing on Immigration Law, Julie Valdez spent more than a decade practicing Personal Injury and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation in South Florida. She managed complex discovery, drafted and argued motions, attended depositions, negotiated with insurance company adjusters, and worked closely with clients’ skills that enhance her advocacy in immigration matters.
While in law school, Ms. Valdez gained valuable judicial experience as an intern for the Honorable Abby Cynamon of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, where she developed a deep understanding of courtroom procedure, case evaluation, and judicial decision-making.
She also completed a year-long internship at the St. Thomas University School of Law Immigration Clinic, representing clients in asylum, VAWA, TPS, and removal defense cases. These experiences solidified her dedication to advocating for immigrant communities. Today, at Gallardo Law Firm, she focuses on providing each client with thorough, compassionate, and effective legal representation.
