Baltimore Ravens football player Tray Walker was riding a dirt bike after the sun went down and was struck by an SUV Thursday March 17th.This loss has devastated the Ravens football team and their families and friends. It was reported that Walker’s dirt bike headlights were not on and he was wearing dark clothing. After the accident occurred, the SUV driver Donzetta Coaxum stayed on the scene and cooperated with police officials. Walker was immediately taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he did not regain consciousness as the brain damage received was too severe. It was also reported by officials that Walker unfortunately was not wearing a helmet.
Tray Walker was only 23 years old when he tragically lost his life. A Miami native, he attended Northwestern High School and eventually went onto to attend Texas Southern University where he majored in criminal justice. In 2015 Walker was drafted to play for the Baltimore Ravens. Many friends and family said that playing in the NFL was Walker’s dream. Teammates, friends, and families regarded Walker as a young man who was always smiling. He is greatly missed and he will be remembered as someone who passed on much too soon.
